Duneland Woodcarvers Show David and I attended the Woodcarving Show hosted by the
Duneland Woodcarvers, held at Woodland
Park, 2100
Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN, 46368.
This was the 32nd show held, and
what a show it was! There were programs to attend and a full room
of Carvers displaying their wide variety of carved items, tools,
books, patterns. Some were for purchase others were for display only.
The
Carvers were friendly, answered questions, and shared tips to help extend
their skills to others.
They had door prizes. Oh, by the way, I was lucky that
day! There were refreshments available for purchase. Admission was affordable
at $4.00. The park and building were easily accessible and the parking was
close. This event is near home. (easy on the gas tank!)
We would
recommend that you attend the 33rd Woodcarving Show in 2009. Some of our
members are also members of the Duneland Woodcarvers. We are sure that
they will keep us informed.
I give this event a four star rating. ****
